HELLO! MY NAME IS

Hello! My name is Shenae Paige and welcome to my art journey. I've been into art all my life, I remember when I was very young, drawing a particular picture of my birthday party with all my friends there and a birthday cake on a table. When I was about 10 I would say that I wanted to be a graphic designer when I grew up, even though I didn't really know what it was. Incidentally, when I finished high school I completed a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Graphic Design) and Bachelor of Communication and Media Studies (Marketing and Communication & Advertising, with a minor in Digital Media).

When I was studying at university, I was originally also doing a Visual Arts major, although drawing wasn't an option and I hated painting then, so I dropped it. My main medium was drawing with graphite pencils and I never really fully got into art properly as an adult until 2019 when I first started practicing with watercolour and a year later getting into gouache.

Both watercolour and gouache are my main mediums for my artwork, and I am now trying to implement a conceptual aspect to my work. I often pair my paintings with finer details with colour pencils and fine liner pens. This can be seen in my works such as my yearly calendars, my book illustrations, and acrylic work can be seen in my murals.
